Dear Friends and Family,

 

We are sorry that we have not sent out an update recently; we’ve been incredibly busy.  We want you all to know that we appreciate your continued prayers for us as we live on The Island.  As you know, we are still in the fasting month of Ramadan.  The people observe this holy month in an effort to get closer to God.  Pray that The True God would reveal Himself to the Islanders as Ramadan ends soon. 

 

Please lift us up to The Father as we go to a village with an engaged couple (A&N; their picture is below) to celebrate the end of Ramadan and Idul Fitri.  We will be traveling to the easternmost part of The Island.  Please pray for our physical safety as we ride a train for 7 hours.  Pray that we would be able to build a stronger relationship with this couple and that The Father would provide open doors to share about Him.  Also, pray that we won’t be too awkward (we know that there will definitely be awkwardness as we will be so unfamiliar staying with a family and as there will be somewhat of a language barrier).  We’re sure we’ll have some good stories for the website when we get back, so check www.rogerandcourtney.com.  We will be traveling to the village on Thursday October 11 and returning home on Saturday October 13.
