Momma and the Baby
As you all know, Courtney is about 10 weeks along now in the
pregnancy. She’s been getting morning sickness at all times of
day. It’s been frustrating for her because she’s been really
limited in her activities. But her knight-in-shining-armor of a husband
has been so great to her and brings her breakfast in bed every morning so she
can start her day without getting sick. We are hoping that in a couple of
weeks the sickness will pass.
Our Helper
We have been blessed to have a helper that cooks, cleans, does the
laundry, and many other things that would make our time here next to
impossible. You’d be surprised how much time it takes to do
housework here. Our helper, N, has been working for people in our company
for about 5 years. So many people have shared The Truth with her; former
workers in the company, our national partners, and us using our broken language
skills. We are really excited because after about 5 years of people
sharing The Truth with her, she decided to follow The Way.
Playstation
We decided to buy a Sony Playstation 2 a couple of weeks ago.
Sadly, it didn’t occur to us to buy one until we’d been here for
over a year. A week before we bought ours, some of Roger’s friends
wanted to rent one for a day. At
Guitar Lessons
We have been praying for another young married couple to meet.
God, as always, was faithful to answer. We met another couple at one of
our friends’ house. The husband, B, is a great guitar player (one
of the best Roger has ever seen) and has written songs for many artists in this
country, and now B is giving Roger guitar lessons. The wife, N, just
likes to hang out with Courtney while Roger and B play guitar.
They’re a super fun couple and we hope that this friendship will lead to
many opportunities to share.
Birthday Boy
Roger is celebrating his second birthday on the island. He
can’t believe that he’s going to be 26 years old. You can
tell that he’s getting old because he actually forgot all about his
birthday until Courtney asked what he wanted to do to celebrate. Roger
thought that it was a couple weeks away, but it’s actually on Monday
February 18! Senile at the age of 26…poor Roger.
