CBC Helping Other Churches

Sojourn New Orleans - New Church Plant - in conjunction with Sojourn Louisville
Sojourn New Orleans will be a movement of Christ going out to people. In an increasingly post-Christian culture the "come to us" church model will not work as it did in previous generations. So, we will live authentic lives in the culture, and glorify God by making disciples. We hope to be catalysts for transformation through the gospel, authentic Christian spirituality and the kingdom of God.

Crestwood Baptist prayerfully and financially supports this work. We also hope to work with Sojourn New Orleans on future mission project endeavors.

Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA)
ECWA is a new work that is committed to reaching Africans living in the
Louisville area.  Pastor Stephen Awoniyi, a Nigerian, serves this body of believers that consists of people from Nigeria , Liberia , Ethiopia , Rwanda , Sierra Leone , and Micronesia .  CBC, along with the Kentucky Baptist Convention and two area Baptist churches, provide support for this ministry that is meeting in a building behind Kenwood Baptist Church on Third Street .

New Life Church
We have prayerfully and financially supported New Life Church in Athens.  Dimitrius Missouras pastors this new work that’s located in the northeast corner of the city.  Marked by contemporary worship and a contagious spirit of evangelism, New Life is penetrating the culture unlike many other evangelical ministries throughout Greece.

The Bridge, Nashville, Tennessee
Pastor Rick Howerton has a passion for the Spring Hill area of Nashville.  He has planted a church there to penetrate the region for Jesus.  It’s amazing what God is doing there!  The church has launched and people are being discipled.  CBC prayerfully and financially supports this work.

La Mosca
CBC, in cooperation with G.O. Ministries, is establishing a church and feeding center next to a dump site called The Fly (La Mosca) in the Dominican Republic. CBC is providing funds for the building, cooking equipment, 30,000 meals for starving children, and the pastor's salary for at least one year. Pictures included below are from our October 2004 trip to the Hole, a similar project in another part of the Dominican Republic.
